Summerset Pohutukawa Place
In 2020, we began work to supply the materials and labour to roof the villas and village centre at the new Summerset at Pohutukawa Place in Bell Block retirement village.
The project which has spanned three years, includes roofing over 40 blocks, with a mix of two, three and four villas per block and also the village centre.
For the villas we used Gerard Steel Tiles in Stratos profile, in a selection of colours; Windsor Grey, Ironsand and Sandstone Grey. 150 ‘Old Gothic’ Coloursteel Maxx spouting and downpipes were also used on the villas to match the roof colour.
For the village centre we used Coloursteel Styleline 0.55 profile in Ironsand along with sections of Viking Enviroclad Membrane Roofing in Grey. The village centre had 175 box gutter in Ironsand along with Ironsand downpipes.
A Gerard roof is made up of individual steel panels tightly locked together to form a single structural unit. This innovative design creates a high strength to weight ratio, making Gerard roofs safe and secure against almost anything nature serves up. It is suitable for moderate climatic conditions and has an extremely durable paint system that resists UV damage and provides excellent colour retention along with being aesthetically pleasing.
